Consul General Wendy Lyle Interviewed by People’s Daily

May 20, 2009: Tang Yong, a reporter with People's Daily and a Washington-based correspondent of People's Daily from 2004 to 2007, conducted a one-on-one interview with Consul General Lyle in Wuhan. Mr. Tang asked about the role and services of Consulate General Wuhan, what has been achieved by Consul General Lyle since her arrival in November 2007, the lessons learned on how to promote mutual understanding and prevent conflicts in central China, Consul General Lyle’s previous association with radio and TV broadcasting, and CG Lyle’s personal and professional experiences as an immigrant from Taiwan to the U.S. The feature story in Chinese was published by People's Daily on June 8, and possibly on other People's Daily affiliated media outlets, including the Global Times and the Global People.
