Young Journalists in Western Hubei Create Vibrant Media Reporting

June 23, 2009: As a former radio and TV producer and announcer, Consul General Lyle called on Jingzhou Media Group to follow up on a TV Co-op proposal. She was warmly greeted by Director Li Haichang and Deputy Director Ding Xiaoping of the media group as well as the director of Jingzhou Municipal Broadcasting Bureau. She held a roundtable with senior leaders of the media group to address questions on U.S. media and potential collaborative programs.

Consul General Lyle was given a tour of the newly established Jingzhou News.com and met with a group of young and dynamic webcast reporters and editors, who talked to Consul General Lyle at length about news gathering techniques, journalistic ethics and news objectivity.
