University Students and Journalists in Wuhan Eagerly Participate in U.S. Consulate General Wuhan’s “English Corner”
October 15, 2009: 60 Wuhan University Journalism School students and Changjiang Daily reporters continued their efforts to brush up their English-speaking skills by attending the twice-per-month “English Corner,” sponsored by the U.S. Consulate General Wuhan. Consul General Wuhan Wendy Lyle served as the trainer on October 15 to motivate participants to carry out conversations about articles selected from U.S. news magazines. A dozen participants took part in the role-playing to engage each other and answer questions from the audience. Consul General Lyle took the opportunity to talk about American life and society and provide suggestions on how to improve their English language skills.
